I believe it was by way of Brendan Loy that I first read Alan Sullivan’s work; through the same source I read of Sullivan’s passing. Like most everything that’s given me reading pleasure, in the intervening years, I’ve read less of Seablogger than I ought to have. You’ll have to read Brendan’s post for a fuller account of his life. I’ll say simply that he was an eloquent and weather-wise man, which is cause enough for me to be saddened by Seablogger’s final post. RIP.
