Tropics Watch 0605

June 5, 2006

The National Hurricane Center discontinued advisories on (Eastern Pacific) Tropical Depression Two yesterday afternoon. as the depression had lost organization.

In the Atlantic Basin, dry air is prevalent over almost all of the Gulf of Mexico making for a very quiet situation there. The only area in the basin with favorable conditions all-around is the southwest-Carribean. However, there aren't any disturbances to avail themselves of that situation.  Things are looking for Dr Masters to return to his blog next week without having missed anything in the Atlantic.

If we talk about any tropical activity in either basin this week, it's going to be in the Pacific waters parallelling the coast of Central America  Tropical Depression Three may form in that area Thursday or Friday. Elsewhere, quiet.
